Michael Orris, DO, MBA, FASMBS, is a founding partner and lead surgeon at AZ Surgical Weight Loss – located in Tempe, Glendale, and Tucson, Arizona – and Arizona Surgical Institute.

Dr. Orris graduated from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed his residency at Pinnacle Health in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and earned a master’s degree in healthcare administration from St. Joseph’s University.

With a passion for helping patients attain and maintain a healthy weight, Dr. Orris successfully performs hundreds of weight-loss surgeries every year. Patients benefit from his years of bariatric surgery experience and the personal intensity he brings to each case.

Recognized consistently as a “Top Doc” by PHOENIX Magazine, Dr. Orris is also proficient in hiatal hernia repair, umbilical, inguinal and abdominal wall hernia repair, upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, gallbladder surgery, and gastrointestinal surgery.

Board Certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery, Dr. Orris is a fellow of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
